Our common questions
Is ArmoryHub secure?
Is ArmoryHub secure?
Yes, ArmoryHub offers true zero knowledge end to end encryption, or local encryption only without cloud sync for maximum protection. When encryption is enabled, your data is completely scrambled and cannot be decrypted without your PIN
Can I use this on a Android or Windows device?
Can I use this on a Android or Windows device?
Not at this time. ArmoryHub is built as a native iOS/macOS app written in Swift. To make the app cross compatible, it would require a ground up rebuild in a different language and it would also require our own server infrastructure, instead of relying on Apples cloud infrastructure. If the app gets enough support on iOS/macOS, we may consider doing this.
Do I need an account?
Do I need an account?
NO, but you do need an Apple account to download from the app store and for cloud sync. We do not collect any user information - including your Apple ID. You are totally anonymous to us.
Do you collect any data?
Do you collect any data?
NO. We do not have any of our own server infrastructure and all data is stored locally on your devices, or in your iCloud in private cloud container. We do not require accounts to be set up, we dont require email addresses, names or any identifiable information. You may choose to add identifiable information in the app - in uploaded photos or documents for example - but we do not have access to any of your information wether encryption is enabled or not.
What if I forget my PIN?
What if I forget my PIN?
If you forget your PIN and encryption is enabled, your data is lost forever. There are no back doors and no recovery methods. That would defeat the purpose of zero knowledge encryption. If you do not have encryption enabled AND cloud sync is enabled, you can delete the app, reinstall, and then download your data back from the cloud.
